Insurance? HSA/FSA?

DexaFit Care membership will cover the majority of your day-to-day preventative care needs. It is covered by HSA/FSA, but we recommend you keep insurance to cover services outside of DexaFit, like visits to specialists and hospitalization.

What happens during my baseline?

Your baseline visit is when you build a comprehensive overview of your preventative health with your DexaFit doctor and care team.

It starts by completing your pre-test health intake questionnaire. If you want your doctor and Care Coach to review your DexaFit testing results, including your DEXA scan, 3D scan, Vo2max test, RMR analysis, and/or food intolerance + blood testing kit, you will have to schedule them prior to your visit. Please note that DexaFit testing is not included in your Care Plan subscription.

After we have your results, you will schedule a video conference with your doctor and review the health metrics collected during your visit at DexaFit along with your health history. You then have a discussion with your doctor about your health goals and concerns, and you’ll also create care plans with your doctor and care coach that give you and your team a way to work towards goals to better monitor and improve your health over the course of the following weeks and months.

These preventative care plans are personalized to you. For example, your doctor and care coach would combine information on your family history, current risk for heart disease and goal of weight loss to build a plan that involving running a certain amount of miles a week in combination with implementing dietary changes.

Soon you'll be able to check in on a regular basis through your app and with your doctor to see how you're tracking towards your goal!

Is my DexaFit testing included in my Care Plan purchase?

Unfortunately no, it is not. DexaFit testing, including your DEXA scan, 3D scan, Vo2max test, RMR analysis, and/or food intolerance + blood testing, are sold separately and must be scheduled at your nearest DexaFit location.

Why no insurance?

That’s a great question. We operate entirely outside of the insurance system and don't bill the monthly membership fees to your insurance. Some of our members do not have health insurance, as it's not a prerequisite for joining, and some members use their HSA or FSA to pay for membership if that's a possibility for you.
